Visit with Santa
Every year the building complex where Frank works has a Christmas party. The big appeal, of course, is Santa. We went last night (despite the fact that I am VERY sick - which is also the reason they weren't wearing nice clothes...I just wasn't up to changing them before we left) and waited in line for about 30 minutes. It was worth it though to have both boys willingly sitting on Santa's lap. Last year the picture we got was of Hunter screaming and Alex not looking at the camera. Not impressive! This year, Hunter couldn't wait to see Santa - especially this Santa because he was giving out stuffed reindeer. My kids can always be bribed! Alex told Santa all of the things he wanted -- a Nintendo DS, Bakugan, and a "basketball game". I don't think he'll be disappointed on Christmas morning!

Big Bass Pro Shop
I took Hunter to the new Big Bass Pro Shop in Ashland this morning. We thought we were going to see Santa, but he didn't get there until later in the evening. Instead we spent some time looking at all of the fun things the store had to offer, including trains, moving elves, a huge aquarium, and a plethora of stuffed animals. Hunter had a great time and he even had a chance to "write" a letter to Santa. Even without Santa we had a blast!

Our new comedian
Leaving the botanical gardens last night:
Hunter: "Knock, knock"
Mommy: "Who's there?"
Hunter: "Boo"
Mommy: "Boo who?"
Hunter: "Door" followed by much laughing from both Hunter and Alex.
I thought he had it, finally! He's been attempting the knock-knock joke for a while, and I was sure this one was going in the right direction. Maybe it really does make sense and I just don't get the joke.

Gardenfest of Lights
Just some of the cool lights and plants that we saw while we were there. I can't go to Lewis Ginter without taking at least one nature shot!Thursday, November 27, 2008

We've been Elfed!
That random elf in there kind of bothers me...I guess it needs to have five characters and since we only have four it just fills in with the other elf. It does make me laugh though!

Obama!
We went to an election results party a few houses up the street from us on Election Night (obvioiusly!). I decided to carve some political pumpkins for the host and hostess to display - especially after my good luck with the Halloween pumpkins that we did. I have to admit, I think these turned out AWESOME (no matter your political preference!).
