Hunter's Look-alike Meter

But apparently Hunter looks more like Mommy?? No one has ever thought that before...everyone thinks he looks so much like Daddy!

Alex's Look-alike Meter

I saw this on a friend's blog and thought it was so cute. Everyone always tells us how much Alex looks like Mommy, but I guess he's really a good mix of both of us!

Sleepy Saeda

They are home now and everyone is doing great!

To see other pictures of Saeda, scroll down a few posts. I'll be posting more when I get them! I could look at that sweet face all day!

Good Morning, Wally!

Visit with Santa

Every year the building complex where Frank works has a Christmas party. The big appeal, of course, is Santa. We went last night (despite the fact that I am VERY sick - which is also the reason they weren't wearing nice clothes...I just wasn't up to changing them before we left) and waited in line for about 30 minutes. It was worth it though to have both boys willingly sitting on Santa's lap. Last year the picture we got was of Hunter screaming and Alex not looking at the camera. Not impressive! This year, Hunter couldn't wait to see Santa - especially this Santa because he was giving out stuffed reindeer. My kids can always be bribed! Alex told Santa all of the things he wanted -- a Nintendo DS, Bakugan, and a "basketball game". I don't think he'll be disappointed on Christmas morning!

Alex telling Santa all about the toys he wants. Santa told him he'd get him some surprises too!

Big Bass Pro Shop

I took Hunter to the new Big Bass Pro Shop in Ashland this morning. We thought we were going to see Santa, but he didn't get there until later in the evening. Instead we spent some time looking at all of the fun things the store had to offer, including trains, moving elves, a huge aquarium, and a plethora of stuffed animals. Hunter had a great time and he even had a chance to "write" a letter to Santa. Even without Santa we had a blast!

Our new comedian

Leaving the botanical gardens last night:

Hunter: "Knock, knock"
Mommy: "Who's there?"
Hunter: "Boo"
Mommy: "Boo who?"
Hunter: "Door" followed by much laughing from both Hunter and Alex.

I thought he had it, finally! He's been attempting the knock-knock joke for a while, and I was sure this one was going in the right direction. Maybe it really does make sense and I just don't get the joke.

Gardenfest of Lights

Gardenfest of Lights is held at the local botanical garden every year. This is actually the first year that we had a chance to go. It was so neat! They fill the garden with tons of lights, some of them shaped like animals/people and some of them just filling the planting beds. Very beautiful! We plan on going back every year!

Just some of the cool lights and plants that we saw while we were there. I can't go to Lewis Ginter without taking at least one nature shot!

There were spiders everywhere and a giant web. It was really neat and the boys loved it!

We saw so many cool things at the Gardenfest of Lights. There was a bathtub filled with "bubbles", a pond with lots of "fish" , deer, and even the Big Man himself (although dressed in brown and surrounded by forest animals - we knew it was him though!).

We've been Elfed!

That random elf in there kind of bothers me...I guess it needs to have five characters and since we only have four it just fills in with the other elf. It does make me laugh though!

Obama!

We went to an election results party a few houses up the street from us on Election Night (obvioiusly!). I decided to carve some political pumpkins for the host and hostess to display - especially after my good luck with the Halloween pumpkins that we did. I have to admit, I think these turned out AWESOME (no matter your political preference!).

We lit them in the bathroom because it was the darkest room in the house. Look at how proud Alex is, even though he didn't help at all (not even to scoop out the pumpkin goop from the inside)

Those eyes

He has a silly face in this picture, but those eyes are incredible! Long beautiful lashes....I'm kind of jealous! He definitely got those from Daddy!

Fun with Thomas

Thomas the train, that is. Hunter had a blast tonight riding around on his Thomas train after bathtime.
Alex even got in on the fun too!

So handsome

Bathtime

Hunter loves bathtime...well, maybe not the actual washing part, but lucky for him that only lasts a few seconds. His hair always cracks me up when it is wet...so long and scraggily. He's such a sweetie!

Last Game of the Season

Alex's last soccer game of the season was this past Saturday. The "Kingfish" had a great game and they celebrated a great season afterward with cupcakes and trophies. We can't wait for soccer to start again in the spring!

Boo Boo

Look closely at this picture and you'll see that Patrick has a band-aid on his arm. Hunter woke up this morning declaring "OH NO! BOO BOO....Bandaid!" So of course we had to fix up Patrick's wound with a Scooby Doo bandage. Everything was right with the world as soon as the bandage was placed.
